Recently, DC comics announced that they were bringing back the old GreenLantern, Alan Scot, and this time he was going to be openly gay. OK. Not a big problem in my book, because I have always thought quite a few comic book heroes should have been, or were already gay. Yet in all my years of reading comics, Green Lantern was never at the top of that list.

When they made Batwoman, Kate Lane a red headed lesbian, it fit the character development, very well in fact. I just do not feel the same character development going into the Green Lantern's sudden exit from the closet. Quite a few charactesr were suspected for years of being so deeply lodged in the closet that they owned summer homes in Narnia.

So who did you suspect of being a homosexual, and why? Who would have been a better choice for being the first openly gay comic book hero?
